IMO the Hoka gaviota is Hokas best stability shoe. Its bigger, thus heavier, but has more of the traditional hoka softness than the arahi. The gaviota is technical a motion control shoe, but its worth the try. I prefer it, ver much, over the arahi.
Another option is the Brooks GTS Adrenaline. With the 19 and 20, they removed the medial post and went with a guide rail. The result is that there is no hard post, so the shoe seems noticeably softer, actually drawing comparisons yo the Brooks Ghost line of shoes. The guide rail is there to act as a "bumper" for when you foot starts to move out of alignment.
