I am curious about the 5,000m final at the World Championships. Will it be a fast pace throughout or a hard closing ordeal? Who will medal in either case.
I predict a gold from Mottram or at worst a medal. What do you think will happen, posters?

Seems Bekele is running the 5000m
The Kenyans and Ethiopians will do their best to try and box Mottram. Look at how they tried to box Bauman in '92. Mottram should medal though.
I agree that Mottram has an awesome shot at the win. Bekele is the man, but he hasn't been as dominant this year as he has in the past, so I think there is an opening there.
I am rooting for some top-8 performances from the American boys. Broe, especially, can place well if the race is in the 13:05-13:10 range. Hall and Dobson will run well, but I don't think they are in position for a top finish. The experience, however, will be great for their future at the meet.
Bekele is not running. Only the 10k. Check the article at the top of the front page.
Songok will win with a 52 second last lap, Eliud behind, and then Gebremarium.
Mottram has shown that he has miler's strength, so that could be handy in the last lap of the race if a kick ensues. I do think the Mottram is on par with every one of those named. I do think, however, Eluid will try to hammer the last km and put a gap in there. How do you see it?
