There is no weight you "should be." Whatever weight helps you run well while not feeling too sluggish nor too weak.
Eating healthy + training hard = your ideal weight
What the first two posts say is essentially correct. Run hard (and smart), eat well (nutritious, healthful foods), and the weight will take care of itself in good time. But right now, if you're packing 168 on a frame that's not naturally stocky/muscular, it sounds on the high side since you're asking for opinions. 23.4 BMI.
you should shoot for 153 pounds
I say 105 pounds for 5 feet of height. After that 5 lbs per inch over five feet. Take 10% off of that and you are at an ideal competition weight.
Easier formula is to take your height in inches, multiply by 2, then take off 10%.
Good luck.
Hence, 153 pounds. I used the Stillman model.
above is a good link, good read too.
I'm 5'6', 140-45 and have run 15:32. Don't worry about the weight, unless it's fat. Get your body fat under 10%, which shouldn't be a problem if you train well, and that's all that matters. You really have little control over your muscle mass. If you're putting in the miles and still keeping on muscle then that's just genetics.

Whoa! I'm 6'3. 75 x 2 is 150. and I should take off 10% of that?!?... 135?!?! No way does that work.
105 plus 75 (15 x 5) = 180. Minus 10% is 162. So it doesn't work very well that way either.
I have heard the straight inches doubled before. That was essentially what they found marathon trials guys weighed back in the 80's.
I find 155 works best for me.
Am I misreading your post? The numbers don't appear to work out.The original poster is 5'11"So by the formula below:105 lbs + 5 lbs/inch x 11" = 160 lbsless 10% = 144 lbsBy the second formula:5'11" = 71"71" x 2 lbs/inch = 142 lbsless 10% = 128 lbsThat's a sizable discrepancy and both weights are substantially below the orignal poster's weight. I believe that 5'11" / 128 lbs is Paul Tergat territory, and he's rail thin even for an elite.

I'm 6'0" and about 130 lb. When I get hurt or whatever, I'll sometimes get up to 140 or so, but as soon as I start training hard again, it drops and goes right back to 130. Train hard and eat right and the weight will go where it needs to be. I've run 14:30's and just over 30:00 at this weight.
5'11"
SHOULD BE 110 pounds + 11*5.5= 170.5 pounds
170.5 * .10 = 17.05 pounds
170.5-17.05= 153.45 pounds
