Here's why I can't take the Nick Symmonds community seriously:
* Claims he did it on "no training." He's been training all year.
* Didn't he retire because he's too injury prone to handle the turns on a track? Now he's running all-out 400s on the track in crocs and he seems fine.
* Look, he's just a punk.

And ever worse, he's encouraging others to go out and do it too. Some poor kid is going to get injured and destroy their track season by running in Crocs and Symmonds doesn't give a sh!t. As long as he gets his followers, he's fine with it.
He still hasn't revisited giving away the ad revenue as he promised he would.
I also notice that he's been taking vacations with Aisha Praught Leer and her husband and others but without his fake girlfriend. He cares about his YouTube subs and fish more than poor, poor Tiana.
With that level of power, he should un-retire.
Interesting video, because it shows the importance of power and basic raw speed and strength endurance compared to smoother running, more endurance based athletes.
With that level of bowlegedness, he should stop doing foolish stuff like this.

Boring
I think he’s having fun, and I like his videos.
Run Gum is a terrible idea. Who chews gum on the run? Likely to choke on it and die out on a trail all by yourself.

He was never a 400/800 type, but more like a 800/1500 guy despite being very heavy.
You can't just categorize runners based on looks/weight/BMI, what matters more is their distribution of muscle fibers (fast-twitch vs slow-twitch) in their legs.
Wariner was extremely skinny compared to Symmonds and had 43s 400m speed, whereas Symmonds never even broke 47s. But 800m and above Symmonds would annihilate him despite being heavier.

He's helping to make the running community fun! His videos are entertaining and he is positive. If you're stupid enough to get hurt trying to do what he did then that's your own problem but it's good for the sport to have more fun content out there that will draw more people to the sport
