Every week since my last race in December l have been doing the same workout; 5x1k every week, that's 3 sessions since my last race and my average has been 3 seconds faster each week. Should l expect to run faster in my next race? Or do l need a few more weeks of workouts? I did the same session a month ago before the race, and l am running 4 seconds per rep faster. Also that was only my 2nd race in many years, and it was a 5k. Should l expect a 30 second inprovment in my next race considering the better workouts and the little race experience? These are all 5k races. I am looking for at least a 30 second inprovment for my next race. Considering thoes factors is this possible or do l need a few more weeks, like two more?
