After NXN today, I saw Tuohy being helped back to her tent by her coach. He was wearing an Oregon hat.....

That wasn't her coach, that was Alberto Salazar
I really find it hard to believe she would go to Oregon, especially after the Cain scandal. I also don’t think her parents want that. I thought she was going to stay in the East somewhere.

1. Cain didn't run for Oregon
2. Salazar did not coach at Oregon while he coached Cain.
3. Oregon has two different xc coaches than when Cain was in Portland.
4. Oregon is the best pathway to gaining ties with Nike. She will eventually be a Nike athlete, college or not.

Sir you must be mistaken that was renowned supplement salesman and amateur running coach Salberto Alazar. You can tell it's not ex-NOP coach Alberto Salazar because of his mustache and dark blonde hair which Alberto does NOT have.
The fish rots from the head, and Nike is rotten. Tuohy will have plenty of offers to choose from, and from all accounts wants to go to a school with an academic reputation, not just running.

You may be right, but his business card says he was an astronaut but there is no mention of it on his coaching profile or in any articles.

Fish for from the head? Is this a real saying? Can you provide proof that this is true?
Stay in HS...
No way Oregon. Maybe Stanford.
Virginia or turning pro like Drew Hunter did...
Would be the saddest news in awhile if she does.

You might also mention the training facilities and the new Hayward Field that is coming.
The question really is, why would any elite T&F athlete would not go to Oregon if offered? Depending on the person there might be some answers to that. Just saying, that is the question should be asked.

‘Fish for from the head’ is not a real saying.

Nope, she will be a New Balance athlete as they will step up big time to get her, just like they did for Syd.
I'll be back to collect my plaudits after it happens.
My guess is Villanova
Amateur! I saw her mother and a guy that just finished the boy's race standing in line at the Voodoo Doughnuts truck before the race. A couple nearby were wearing matching University of Illinois warmups. Then, not five minutes later, I crossed paths with Vin Lananna. Having met and conversed with him on several occasions, I said hello and congratulated him on getting the UVA gig and winning his arbitration against USATF. He smiled and thanked me. But, if that wasn't coincidence enough, my high school alma mater qualified for NXN the first time ever and also placed a runner in the top 10. When you take the all of these variables, add the presence of Chris Derrick, a Stanford alum, riding a golf course maintenance vehicle, and divide by the square root of the number of kids under age 17 attending tonight's NXN Closing Ceremony and Dance, the answer is super obvious:
Katelyn Tuohy will announce that she is committing to the University of Southern New Hampshire to pursue an online degree in accounting.

It is not possible for you to be any more wrong.
Gonna be NC State or Nova

Colleen Quigley said on the NXN webcast that Touhy told her that going pro after HS was never an option.
