Did anyone try these out? Ordered a pair for winter long runs and the occasional messy easy run or workout.

I was actually thinking about posting a thread about my experience with these shoes here but re-considered given the nit-Nike/Nike-shill attitude here.
But...
When I first saw them online I was like "Why the Turbo outsole? Surely the outsole of the Peg 36, Peg Shield or Peg trail would be better". However, given I'm running in NYC out winters are more wet (rain) or sloppy (slush and clear wet pavement) than anything so I figured the Turbo outsole will be fine (I like the Turbos, a lot). Since ordering them I've had numerous wet runs in them, from simple wet pavement to drizzle/down-pour and lots of standing water. The bootie upper is amazing and worth the price of admission for the shoe alone. I've never had wet feet in them, in fact my feet sweat more in them than anything (which I don't notice until I take them off). So waterproof bootie upper and Turbo outsole seemed like a valid combo...
Until I ran in them today in proper snow (3" or snow in the park this morning at 5am)... now I REALLY get why they put the Turbo outsole on these. The Turbos already have a ton of road-feel in them given how soft they are (which is good) and in slippy/snowy conditions that makes a lot of sense to maximize grip. The Turbo lug pattern is fine for paved surfaces, but with Nike's wet rubber on there it's even better. So moving from packed snow, soft snow, clear pavement, puddle, slush, snow, etc... was spotless and with smooth transitions. Leaf covered path that had snow on them were slippy, no lug pattern would help there, but the turbo outsole and road-feel allowed me to feel the grip I had exceptionally. Snow covered dirt trails or snow covered grass hills were not a strong suit of the shoe, but I made it through ok. However if I was spending more time on these surfaces I'll go for my Peg Trail Gore-Tex and their outsole.
For wet and sloppy (rain to snow and all in between) urban running that is on pavement the Turbo Shields may be perfect. If you run mostly on snow covered dirt or grass, these aren't the shoe for you (though in small doses you are fine). I think the upper is very well done and I'd love to see the upper with a Peg Trail outsole (or a Peg 36 wet outsole) in addition the the existing Turbo Shield... that would be my go too winter trail shoe hands down.
That price tho!
I ordered the mid version without the ankle wrap. You can customize that one and choose either the peg or turbo cushion.
Looking forward to the waterproof on roads as there are not many wet road shoes on the market
Woa EliteJogger, that has me excited.
I came in from a wet snowy run yesterday kicking myself for not wearing my Peg 35 Shields, and immediately started looking for a deal on the Turbo WP Shield. DICK'S actually had it 25% off yesterday, surprised me because I didn't think we'd be seeing them go on sale. Grabbed myself a pair.
I'm guessing it has more of a Turbo 2 feel than 1 though? The first iteration is my fave shoe to run in, I love the squish everyone else seems to hate.
Turbo outsoles are Turbo outsoles across the 1/2/shield. Same feel.
I prefer the upper fit of the Turbo shield to the Turbo 2, the neoprene-esque bootie is secure and very sock like (kind what Flyknit always was meant to feel like but never quite did).
