I see many Half marathon runners with good times running the Full Marathon that is below their running standard .
Does it take long to transfer your HM abilities to the Full ?

I ran a 1:18 high half September 2018...ran a 2:44 marathon in September 2019. VDot has those as pretty close to equivalent.

1:18 is roughly 6:00 pace.
2:44 is like 6:15 pace.
Not equivalent.
Do you mean:
(1) How long will it take to double my half marathon time? or,
(2) How long will it take me to be able to run an "equivalent" to my half marathon time for a full marathon?
The answer to number one is impossible to answer.
The answer to number two is that a high mileage runner should be able to run an equivalent time almost immediately.

Yes, they are. That’s the exact equivalent per McMillan and almost exact per Horwill.

I assume NSFC was only comparing pace, not VDOT. clearly he is confused.
