In part due to the event being a popular place to get an OTQ time, I'm trying to run 2:45 at CIM (I'm a guy). On the CIM website it lists a pace group for 2:45, but there are no runners listed for 2:45:

Yes there is, by chance it's a triathlete too.
Not only are they using three triathletes, but only two of them have ever run open marathons, and none have run faster than 2:50.

There will be a lot of people targeting sub 2:45 specifically. That should be enough for you.
There should be a huge pack of American ladies targeting 2:45 so I’d jump into that group. However, the website explicitly mentions 245 pacing

Did you think this through? You will either get chicked or the ladies will call you a creep for following them.
I’ll be there. First marathon but goal is 2:45. I’ve done a couple good 11 mile tempos at 6:10 pace so I think I’m in a good spot. I think there will be a good amount of people in this time range to work off.
