Anyway, regarding TxState:
San Marcos sits in a great spot--halfway between SA and Austin, and not far from Houston. Unfortunately, I don't think training is great around the campus. Certainly potential to get to places in the Hill Country, but likely cost prohibitive at a school that size. Also, whomever has been recruiting has completely snubbed the RGV and SA schools--areas with enough quality runners that could have helped the program over the years. A lot of this may be due to the allocation of scholarship money, like most places. Tough to recruit if you can't offer much.
