Hey,
I'm looking for a daily training shoe for tempo runs below 12km. Also to use them for my upcoming 2.4k race.
Should I better buy the Adios 4 or the Fuel Cell Rebel? Does anybody have inside knowledge about both of these shoes?
Thanks

I do not wish to discuss training shoes. Instead, let's talk about our favorite Halloween movies.
Adios is a fast shoe.

I don't have any inside info but I run in both.
I'd say the adios is much more of a daily trainer. It's traditional shoe and feels like a training shoe just a little lighter and more responsive.
I find the rebel very hard to run at slower than say 8k pace in. It feel hard and uncushioned to me. But when I get up to 8k or faster pace it has a nice roll to it.
Adios is narrower, rebel is wider.
I vastly prefer the adios - no matter the pace. It's my go-to shoe.
I'd go Razor 3 or Floatride Run Fast.
Adios is a fucking beast shoe, Vincent Kipchumba beat LOTS of Vaporflies in the Vienna City Marathon and Amsterdam Marathon this year wearing the Adios.
It's pretty much a Adidas Boston on steroids. There is something about that boost foam that makes this shoe crazy fast.
Okay so what about the takumi sen 5 shoes? How do they compare to the Adios? Or do the Adios also beat the takumi sen5?

Different type of shoe. The Takumi Sen 5 is a racing flat, mostly for 5k. It's direct competitor is the Nike Zoom Streak LT 4 which is better, so the Takumi Sen 5 isn't good at anything.
The Adios is ideal for HM, marathon and tempos. You can even do track workouts in them. Tinman Elite do theirs often in the Adios, it's a versatile all-around shoe that's crazy fast and protects your legs from soreness that you would be getting by wearing an 6.4 oz shoe like the LT4 or Sen 5 too often.
Okay I do my sprint workouts on the track and do my tempo runs on the road. I will be using them as a daily trainer and for the race. The 2.4k race will also be held on a track so I guess I will go with the Adios 4.
Thanks man
The Reebok floatride run fast could be great for people with a narrower foot. The insole combined with Eva rim around midsole form a seated uncomfortable cup that's a big no if your sensitive to stability shoes or it causes unnecessary pressure on the toes, eventually friction blisters.
The Adios 4 (camo print way cool) has been changed quite a bit from Adios 3. The sizing is more consistent (same as Pegasus instead of 1/2 size up) The Width doesn't taper too much.
Adios 4 ride feels even being softer in heel and firmer in forefoot at about 20 miles the upper softens up and it feels seamless(can now go barefoot). The only comparison I have to FC rebel is running a 1/2 mile at treadmill the weight felt similar but instead of the rolling ride of Adios 4 it gave off a firmer feel, not bad just something that would probably require 40-50miles.
Hm... I have flat foot, but I have a fine built body. So my feet are narrow to normal I guess? I certainly don't have wide feet, but I do have flat foot.
The Takumi is actually a fine shoe, a little bit heavier than the Streak LT 4, but also doesn’t feel as harsh, while still being super responsive thanks to the torsion system. It’s a perfect shoe up to 10 miles, but I’d stick with the LT 4 for 5k. Its biggest downside is the price though.
Never tried the adios so can't say, I am running in rebels though and really like them. Got the baby blue ones and wear casually too and have gotten a few compliments by women for their aesthetics.
The Streak 3/4 is dangerous, go with Skechers or Vaporflys, Boston, Sen, Fastwitch.

Seriously? The Adios 3 was wide and the Adios 4 is even wider!
