Ran 4:18 in high school. Mainly mid-d guy. Once in college, I ran 3:55 1500, 8:28 3K, and 25:18 8K during Fresh/Soph years. Injured and battered most of the remaining years.
Older now and training again at 30. Never really quit running...was running low 4:20's in the mile and mid 15's in the 5K in my 20's. I did this with mostly running 50 miles a week and having fun with it. Now that I'm at it again, I'm in decent shape in a short period of time. Running more consistent mileage and actually feeling healthy. Current shape is low 16's in the 5K and mid 73's for half-marathon.
I'm honestly interested if I can focus over the next 12 months, could I get down to 66min half? Anyone with similar situations in the past and they saw some improvement like this? I feel like I've never really focused on longer distance and maintained a consistent year of running.
