Last night when giving my kids a bath I stubbed my middle toe pretty bad my son's little stepstool by the sink. It hurt a little to walk on barefoot afterwards. I ran this morning and it didn't hurt that much, mainly just on downhills, but it started looking worse about an hour after my run, turning purple my the toenail. The nurse at my office said it looks like a sprain or possibly even a small break and buddy taped it to my 4th toe (the one next to my pinky toe). It's not too bad walking around with the tape and I plan to run again tonight. I'm in the best shape of my life and have a goal half marathon in 4 weeks and a marathon 4 weeks after that. I'm hoping to crush my PRs at both. If it is just a sprain, do you think I'll be able to continue training on it using the buddy taping?
