I am interested in some of the new running foams that have come out in the last few years. Does anyone know what Everun (Saucony) is like? How about Flytfoam (Asics)? How do they feel? Is it a pleasant ride or just some gimmick material?

They're similar to NB Fresh Foam and Adidas Boost. Saucony Everun seems softer and heavier than either of those two and less durable than Boost, in my experience. Asics Flytefoam seems to fall between the first two in terms of durability and feel, and possibly lighter.
Thanks. I tried Fresh Foam. I liked it but not the low drop of the shoes so I didn't buy them. It felt very firm yet very good at shock absorption.
Is Everun pleasant to run on? Way better than the traditional EVA?
Yes, though the shoe model I got (Freedom) has 4mm offset which might be at the extreme of low offset I can endure. I prefer the overall feel of the Adidas Boost shoes though Asics are also in my wheelhouse. I had the DynaFlyte and had no complaints but switched to Boston + Ultraboost 19 as the former is noticably snappier and the latter is just so comfortable for long and easy runs.
I've never run in Fresh Foam but have had multiple Boost/Everun shoes and can say they're extremely similar. They're both TPU based foams and I believe they're even developed by the same company. The biggest difference is that in all the Everun shoes I've worn the Everun has always only been directly under the insole and sitting on top of a regular EVA midsole. With Boost, the whole midsole is Boost and it has that squishy spring to it throughout. I personally have liked the Saucony shoes with Everun because you can feel that layer of springy Everun just beneath your feet but also get a more stable, traditional EVA midsole as well.
As others have noted, Everun is boost. It tends to be more firm than boost.
I prefer the EVA + Everun setup (Saucony Ride), where most of the midsole is still EVA with the boost "topsole." I think the shoe actually has better bounce and feels faster than pure boost, which you can find on The Triumph. The full length Everun feels bottom heavy to me. Its decent for slow runs with some significant downhill.
saucony does make some shoes with all everrun, they're the triumph (heavier, high cushion 8mm trainer) and the freedom (lightweight trainer, 4mm)
asics doesn't make any foams that are worth talking about yet, though I've heard the new glideride and presumably their new marathon acing shoe will be good.
Hi,
I agree with ckidd, I had a Asisc dynaflyte and felt to firm with Flytefoam, no bounce. The everrun is like boost but firmer and feels bottom heavy on my triumphs a bit like boost. The new foams like hyberboost (skechers) and Nikes (react) and New balance (fuelcell) are lighter and seem more reactive than boost and everrun. Saucony has a new midsole that's meant to be 25 % lighter (PWRRUN+ midsole) etc that is coming out now . Asics glideride has a new mixed midsole and the shoe has a large rocker to help propel you along in your transitions.
Cheers
Steve
