Olympic qualification will be done based on world rankings. As it stands, if the Next%s are banned, many times in those shoes will stand. Runners who have not yet run a few races in these shoes will not have access to the same advantages. And what about the other shoes that have carbon fiber plates?
It is too late to ban the Next%s, but they can ban the Alphafly's before they come out. Honestly I think we are too focussed on the shoes. At least everyone has access to shoes (and shoe companies can make similar shoes). Drugs are already banned and their use is out of control. Want to make the sport fair? Focus on making it clearn.
