Sorry, i mean 2x2 miles
3x2mi would be very hard. 2x2mi should be still hard but not extremely hard.
Too hard because 2 miles is too long (reps from 1k up to 2k better)and because 90" is too short for 2m, unless you are racing your workout of course. Plus if you run shorter ints you can get closer to the overall race distance. Need to run at least 8k in training from that type of stimulus... 4m in total is on the small side.
2-3 x 2 miles at 15k-half pace is a better paced workout
10 x 1k or 5 x 2k are better 10k pace workouts
Also about 1 minute rest for every kilometer
I did a very similar workout to this in my hay day, 2x 4k with the walki g rest (then 400 at vo2max). Based on your post it sounds like you’re in good shape! If RP doesn’t make you fade then awesome.
No, I have done that at age 68, no big deal. Focus.
I do this workout 3x2 once a month in the middle of a long run, 18 miles.
The effort and purpose depends upon what you are training for. If for a half or full, then I give you a ??
If for 10k, then probably not the best use of your miles.

Damn you must be healthy Iggy! Good for you! I'm just trying to get healthy and you're kicking butt!
Well done sir!
That is a high end ability indication workout especially with that short of a recovery. Not done too often.
If you can do it 4 weeks out of your A race and recover well from it, it shows a great possibility that you will be able to run your 10k event at that goal race pace.
2 x 3.2k @ 10km race pace is way easier and is a crucial steps towards the 3 by option like 8 weeks out.
