On the LetsRun podcasts (which I enjoy) and on the message boards these Brooks Beasts guys don't get a lot of respect. Just wanted to give Kerr props as he whooped all the US based "varsity" teams. OTC, NOP, and BTC.
Dude is more legit than I thought tbh. Bummed for Centro, Engels, and Jakub, but what a great race to watch nonetheless!
I was noticing the same, Kerr had an outstanding Worlds.
And, Allie Ostrander PR’d, Brannon Kidder just missed the 800 final finishing 10th in Worlds, he barely got in the meet.
Also so far NO Fancy Bears leaked reports like Bowerman athletes/Ingebrigtsen, or a clear USADA doping suspension with Nike Oregon Project!
Anyone who saw Kerr in the Brooks PR meet knew he was a legit top class stud.

That's because they've had no legit contenders for world medals until Kerr.

I am an American kid you boomer.
A lot of medalists and top athletes are trained in America, by America(ns) using their taxpayer money, their facilities, etc.
It should be noted that Allie spent most of this season being coached by her college coach, and Kerr didn't actually spend this year in Settle with the rest of those guys- he was in New Mexico being coached from afar by Mackey (and I imagine overseen by his college coach to some degree). It will be interesting to see how each of them do after a year of hands-on training in Seattle. They're both great talents and I wish them the best, but I don't give the coach or team much of the credit for their success at this point.

I'm not in great Britain and I know that Josh Kerr is an australian surfer living in San Diego. Used to be on the world championship tour but was more famous for his aerial manevers and his video parts than for his competition results.

Thanks to the Beasts and Andy Powell, Seattle has jumped from a track backwater to having hte highest resident concentration of sub 3:38 (and mile eq) runners IN THE WORLD.

If you haven't noticed the last week, the board is full of Nike homers who constantly attack other brands and programs to try to either distract from wrongdoings or elevate their own status. Danny Mackey is hated by Nike, which is why he is constantly bashed and why you won't see people backtracking on their comments after a good WCh.
