He needs to move up- he could be a good marathoner possibly
Dick.
Tough crowd here.
He is literally a once in a generation type athlete. He won many consecutive USA titles, ran 13:00 earlier this year in maybe his second or third serious 5000 and just ran 3:32 after a couple 1500 rounds.
I have always personally disliked Centrowitz and do not root for him but clearly he isnt done at all. Plus anything after Rio is just icing on the cake. Giving credit where credit is due he has had an amazing career.

Very strange how you Americans want to see your best fail.
- He'll wake-up ..... he ran like he thought he was in a 5K Time Trial on the Nike Campus versus a WC.
- BTC's got some work to do .... like start racing!

we also like seeing gatlin fail, and both are for good reason
Centro is far from done and will continue making global finals, but he has never been a runner that does well off a fast pace. The new generate of 1500m runners aren't going to be jogging for 3 laps then kicking for 3:36 in championship races anymore, which makes Centro irrelevant. He'll never be close to a major medal again. He got lucky during a very weak period of the 1500m where most of the runners were too big of cowards to run fast.
- Just like Jenny Simpson
People forget that Centro was injured in the fall/winter 2018-2019 and through the early spring. Still adjusting to Jerry's training.

By “You Americans”, do you mean some random dork posting on a website?

That's a garbage opinion. Centro is incredible.
It's up to Matt. How bad does he want it?
Look, it's been a great career. Two golds, including the world indoor. A silver and a bronze. Truly fabulous.
Try to remember 2011. He won nationals in 3:49, fans were saying he shouldn't be on the team. Right. He'd beaten Lagat, and then took a WC bronze.
If Matt Centrowitz wants more, truly wants more, it's waiting there for him.

White Americans have been taught to self loathe. Most American whites self loathe.
Hence wanting to see the best fail.

fixed your racist text
He should race every weekend.
We have a higher percentage of trolls and walking-talking-piles-of-sh** with nothing going on in their own lives than other countries, so they have to come on here to dump on others to help them feel better about their own lives.
Watch the race again. Centro tried to get there after one lap, got close 300 meters later, then faded into the field with 600 to go. Centro to the 5000 in 2020? Can he take Edris/Jakob/Berega in the final straight?
