As far as I can tell, and unless I'm missing something, the ban is the result of him doing things we already knew he was doing, the only thing that's different is that a governing body has officially said that testing in the grey area is in fact against the rules.
Has anyone changed their opinion of Salazar as a result? I don't want to hear people defend him or waggle their fingers and say "I told you so, that man is a very bad man!" I just want to hear from people who have changed their minds.
Anybody's opinion of Salazar changed now that he's banned for 4 years?

Another of his athletes wins gold in record time.

Hasn’t changed my opinion of him as no new information has come out. I was comfortable with what he did and know of worse from other competitors and coaches. He was always well intentioned and he done so much for the sport. One of the greatest coaches of all-time.
-
It has not. I was confident that he is a cheat and a scumbag before, and I'm just as confident that he is a cheat and a scumbag today.
-
No. I was aware of both of those areas before and I am comfortable with what he did and I feel sorry for the athletes as I am seeing many posts declaring that he was banned for "doping his runners" which is no where to be found in the decision.
-
My opinions the same. He’s fine, just trying to keep up w the Russians and Kenyans and the grey area bit him. And since he did technically break the rules the 4 years was what they had to give him to be by the book. Even if the Wild MF was testing on his son, show me some real doping and cheating... this ain’t it
-
When coaches who may have been caught red handed are given even a stern talking to....yeah, then I'll start to care.
Disband all doping enforcement, let them have at it. -
I thought he was smart and careful enough to avoid getting caught doing anything that would result in a ban. That has changed.
-
No. I always knew he was doping his athletes. The only difference is that, now, something has actually been done about it.

I completely agree with what you said here. Also, anyone whose opinion of Salazar has changed to disliking him now because of the ban is a MORON and a media SHEEP. No new evidence really came forward, just a panel with immense power deciding to ban a person who actually wanted to stay within all the set guidelines. -
I’ve always questioned Alberto and I am happy that he is banned.
HOWEVER
He was not convicted of using any PEDs on any athlete and no athlete was convicted of anything.
So why are the NAZ athletes so out spoken against people that they feel are dirty? They then carry it out to people like Ritz who has not been associated with the group since 2014 and testified against Alberto in court. They have lost a fan. -
leave the guy alone

I didn't like him as a runner- we're the same age, I think our personalities would clash.
But, read Toni Reavis' blog before passing judgement.
Salazar pushed the envelope and flirted with breaking the rules. But did he?
And, after reading the blog, I am not going to implicate his runners- until/unless they test positive.
We joke around that when you join NOP you get Nike shoes, clothes and an inhaler.
Maybe he was just too close for comfort. -

^This.
One could hope that the lying about him never ever crossing the line will stop now (no crossing, no ban, obviously), but the PR shills and fanbois and trolls are abundant here. -
Hey Scott Fauble,
Let me follow your ridiculous twitter rant. You want all athletes that are connected to Salazar to no longer be invited to major races.
Let’s break this down the “contamination” theory.
Zero athletes have ever tested positive or ever served a suspension.
Josh Cox who serves as the agent for NAZ once ran for the Rosa’s who have had more marathoners banned for drug use than any other coach or managers.
Because of “contamination” should all of NAZ and every other athlete that is represented by Josh Cox no longer be invited to major races? -

Poor example. Here the coach is the bad guy, evidently, convicted for crossing the line with his athletes.
In Cox' cause, some athletes cheated. It's not clear whether that's because of or despite of Cox. -
Some of yall need to get real. When a corrupt organization dedicated to defending and protecting dopers like Coleman and Wilson hands someone a four year ban, it's because they are stinking, smelly, disgusting and worse.
-
It's a bit unfortunate that he's getting banned for some grey area nonsense when there are full throttle doping programs going on elsewhere.
That said, I have little doubt that Salazar out sources the really naughty stuff to other coaches (i.e. trips to East Africa, etc) so he's still as dirty as they come. -

Have to agree. Weird statement saying he did nothing wrong, in fact took great care to stay within the rules, but facilitated the chance to do something against the rules or some such BS. -
I told you so, that man is a very bad man!
