Vasquez is a great pacer.
-
Most impressive race since London 2012.
I'm assuming Sprintgeezer is coming soon to point out this reeks of Kenya of course.. :) -
And instantly, Brazier is the greatest American 800m of all time.
That was amazing. -
Championship record and New american record after 34 years!
World record coming in Tokyo? -
NOP wins..
-
That. Was. Incredible.
Did not think it was the right thing to do going so early down the backstraight - but that was awesome.
AR, World Championships record. Freaking outstanding. -
Unreal run. Never looked weak for even a moment.

1st post-ban NOP athlete absolutely lays a goose egg. Coincidence? -
Shame his coach was banned for four years today for doping his athletes.
-
Johnny Gray goes home DEVASTATED!!
-
I didn't either, but I'd forgotten just how good he is when paced out perfectly. Realistically the only guys who could beat him in that type of race were the absent Amos and Korir. Tuka closes well, but 1:42-mid is his ceiling. Rotich isn't in tip-top form, and was too passive from 400-500. He was the class of the field and took the race by the scruff, accordingly.

Brillent run. I actually thought he slowed before tye finish line. Could he have run sib 1.42. Agreed best race since London 2012.

What a race by Brazier!
Thoughts:
-Vasquez continued his year-long quest of sacrificing himself to make sure others run PRs. Worst tactical racer I’ve ever watched, but he’s young. Regardless, Brazier can thank him for it.
-Hoppel pr’d after a terribly long college season. Incredible effort from him as well, certainly has a bright future.
-Tuka has had a really nice resurgence as well this year. -

Yeah, USADA should have waited until after WCs to break the news. This was unfair to Murphy, Hassan, and Kejelcha. -

Maybe now Clayton Murphy will be coached by Julian, the better of the two NOP coaches. -

Better to let them continue their doping without distubances first. Got it -

No one seems to be mentioning the Elephant in the room!
Salazar is Brazier's coach too!
Many on here are happy to be suspicious of Hasan's ridiculous 4:18 mile at the end of her 10k victory, largely based on the fact she is coached by Salazar and the NOP, but if a US athlete with the same back up wins, there is no mention of it!
I thought Brazier ran brilliantly, but it would be nice to see some consistency when raising suspicions. Personally I'm suspicious of all NOP athletes, especially Mo Farah (and have been for years); they all knew about the accusations and had their eyes wide open when joining that outfit. -

Brazier is coached by Pete Julian.
