Two white men placed top two in the last heat. Shame Bosse messed up.
That's surprising that Bosse finished last of his semi.
He was the title holder after all.
Four US citizens actually, since Vasquez of Puerto Rico qualified too
Great Britain has a runner named Max Burgin, who has run 1:45.36, (He is 16 or 17 years old born in 2002) who is going to end Great Britains drought in the 800 and 1500, He will break Wilson Kipketers European Record in the 800 and Farah's 1500 Record EASILY in the next 3-5 years.
That's not surprising for the brits!!! With Emmanuel Korir out for us, surely Ferguson Rotich must be favourite...

Yes, shame Burgin's season was hampered by injury. Amazing that a guy just turned 17 could still solo run a 1:45.3 in an injury ravaged season. If he hadn't had the injury problems he could well have made the team for Doha.
Also Ethan Hussey is a year younger than Max and has ran 1:50. But get this - he's a 5K runner. Early this year he ran 14:26 or something at 15 - on the roads. It will be interesting to see how both of them perform in xcountry this winter.
We have a lot of other middle-distance talent coming through too. And let's not forget our 1 -2 in the UK Championships weren't here in Doha.
GB is on the up, Kenya is on the way down.
Kyle Langford was a bit unlucky. Gave it his all but took a couple of knocks and was blocked in for a bit.
Going for Tuka for gold. Hope Hoppel or Vasquez grab silver. Don't care for anyone else.
Coevette if Dina Asher Smith fails to get gold which is likely, it's a wrap for you guys. You will have to rely on some dropped batons to win a gold medal just like last time.

Highly doubtful, though I hope I'm wrong. He'll discover girls and pints, and he'll be fortunate to maintain his current pb 's.
I don't think about the skin tone, ethnicity, nationality of a runner or whatever...just as a person..

What's wrong with you?

9/10, thanks for the laugh!

No listed 400m on I.A.A.F. That leads me to believe the lad, to date is not able to race F.A.T. sub-49.00 400m. Which teenage 49+ 400m runner ends up racing sub-47.5 400m is hard to predict. If Burgin trains for 1500m, he will be less likely to improve much as a 400m runner (unless he's on the juice). Eight-hundred metres is correlated with one's 400m best. Not so much with one's 1500m best. Some sub-1:44 800m men cannot break 3:45 1500m. Nearly all sub-1:44 800m runners are sub-48 400m men.

Doesn’t count until it happens

Already giving up on your saviour Langford.
US > GB
Let’s guess.
You’re 11 years old.
At least if we do win a gold, we wont have to worry about the shame of eventually having to hand it back when the athlete eventually fails a test.

He ran a 400 relay leg last year at end of tiring season (at 16) in 47.9.
He's been training for the 1500m for several years and does xcountry every winter, training like Coe and Ovett (as is Hussey), and he's probably going to take chunks off all his pbs from 400m to xcountry for at least a couple more years.
Some runners just have exceptional talent (and train the right way).
