Moves her to 8th on All-Time US List.
The US Trials will be interesting.

Too bad NBC Sports cut to a commercial and missed her finish.
Coach Ryan Hall had a good day.
Actually she didn't win, she finished in 5th place. Good run though.
I saw a list that had her 6th all time:
Updated U.S. women's all-time marathon list:
1. Deena Kastor 2:19:36, London 2006
2. Jordan Hasay 2:20:57, Chicago 2017
3. Shalane Flanagan 2:21:14, Berlin 2014
4. Joan Benoit Samuelson 2:21:21, Chicago 1985
5. Amy Cragg 2:21:42, Tokyo 2018
6. Sara Hall 2:22:16, Berlin 2019
Don't know if she's 6th or 8th, but what stands out on that list is 4. Joanie 1985.
FYI @Ackley, 'FTW' means 'For the Win' and Sara Hall took 5th.
Also, 'FYI' means 'For your Information'
what stands out to me is how lackluster the times are.
You know, relative to the rest of the world.
nothing but respect to each individual. They'd all destroy the best time I could run in my wildest dreams.

I HOPE the times are lackluster because they're "winning" the drug war against the cheaters.
There will always be cheaters but they seem to be catching more of them.
Back in the late 70's early 80's we wondered what the human limits were.
How can they be lackluster? She was less than 2-minutes off the winning time. World Class right now is 2:20 for Women.

Yeah, an amazing time in the blood doping era... ?
"World Class" is not 2:20. If you're finishing top 10 at what is deemed as a major world marathon, you're world class, even if you aren't quite at 2:20.

Of all the "top times" in track, field and road, this is the most likely to be free of any whiff of doping, especially when rounded out by Sisson, Taylor and Thweatt.

And Sally Kipyego's 2:25:10 for the top 10

It shouldn't be, but the marathon is a niche sport. It should be FFOTM (F**K Fans of the Marathon).
Epic OP fail
Sara is quietly running around in her Asics, working her way up the list. Meanwhile, the top contenders for the trails are injured, making recoveries or who knows where. Good for Sara.. I hope she makes the team for Tokyo!
And really, she is super consistent and tough. That's who I'd want running in the sauna in Tokyo--someone who won't quit.
6th fastes time ever by an American women is incredible. At this point I think she's a major contender for the Tokyo Team. If I'd have to put money down I'd say Hasay, Sisson and Hall for the team. But the womens field is so dense almost anything can happen.
I am a little worried that she never did really well in e.g. Boston which is also hilly like Atlanta. She either has terrible races or stellar ones. If she gets a stellar one at the trials she'll make the team.

Sorry, it’ll be the year of the Hs: Huddle, Hasay and Hall
And that’s Sara H, not Marielle H
