Sara Hall 2:21:16 in 5th place! A PR by over 4 minutes!
Sara Hall, 2h22'16" !
Jeannie Rice at 71 years old is currently on sub 3:20 pace. If she keeps this it will be a masters record of 8 minutes from her record set last year in Chicago.
Its so weird how when one person does something, everyone can do it. I thought it would be like 20 years before anyone else was sub 2:02. It was just last year when people were trying and failing to break 2:03 every year

Let me guess what shoes she was wearing.
It was even worth all the Flex Glue commercials.
she's sponsored by asics so what are you trying to say?
Sally Kipyego 2:25:10

Her shoes are conspicuously all black.

I mean who would build a boat out of glass?
But seriously, watching over in the UK, to witness this was insane! Easily the greatest marathon outside of championship racing ever and probably a bigger comeback than The Rumble in the Jungle.
What must be going through Kipchoge's mind right now....
Bekele would have broken the record IF he stopped lookimg at his watch and computing in his head
the numbers.
with 1.2k left, he kept looking at his watch even 10 yards.
He did not know if he was on record pace or not at the end.
He needed to get his head down and run.
That tells you, he is much much better than his time today.
Brutal that was and he proved today that he is the greatest long distance athlet EVER!!
Mo Farah, you cannot hold a candle to Bekele. You never have and never will.
the 5k and 10k record holder almost broke the world Record in the marathon. He will break it.
ASICS is testing a prototype racer.
There’s a local ASICS sponsored runner in my country with all-black ASICS racers too.
Bekele kept looking at his watch only because he was trying to stay under MAF HR, or when there was a Strava segment coming up.

Maybe it's good luck he's not posting. Look away for once and Bekele does his thing,
When Banana Bread wakes up he’s going to be wondering if it was all a dream ... and after he pinches himself, we’ll never hear the end of a it... in 20 years we’ll still be reading his new threads about how Bekele is going to comeback and win again.

How come there was no wheelchair guy to almost trip Bekele or sow Bekele down?
I don’t believe this, period. The course was short or something??!!!! They cut tangents out or turns or something. Bekele was so out of it a few years ago (2012) and kept getting better past his prime? There’s a ‘new juice’ in town obviously that these guys are not being tested for it and like Cycling was, they are out of control. They match it to their blood and mask it. Others PR’ing clearly shows that the course has been tampered with. Too good to be true here folks - sorry! Look at their eyes ; fixated gaze, no blinking! Their minds are numb to pain. Bekele’s good, damn good but he’s even better on drugs! The ‘new juice’ is easy to transport and easy to mask onced it’s matched up with the recipient’s blood. It’s beautiful to see a man run like this but it’s totally improbable - people don’t get faster the older they get??
Bekele broke Kiptoo’s age 37 best by more than 4 minutes!!!
With all these men getting to 2:01 and 2:02, why are the women nowhere near 2:15?
marathon getting better because they are figuring it out. more people are doing it than ever. and training plans are near perfect.
if the doping was out of control, wouldn't the 5k/10k times be out of control, as well?
