I run for fitness right now and I also love the gym! I am a self coached adult female and have trained alone ever since I picked up running as an overweight teenager and since have developed a huge passion for it! I think it’s about time I started to enter some local track races but there are never any races below 5k!
Would doing 8 reps covering 250m at a certain pace with 0:45 rest be a reasonable prediction of the sort of pace I could hold in a time trial or a race (if I could find one)?
Bear in mind that I am probably quite slow because from my understanding, this is a website that mainly consists of male track athletes competing for scholarship money, I never ran in school or college and I am not American so I don’t really know too much about that. My aim is sub 2:30 so bear in mind that this workout was probably more aerobic for me than anaerobic (I averaged 0:49 per rep).
