What makes him a jackass? You think steroids aren't dangerous? You disagree that Jarred Rome dying at 42 is sad?
Since those are the only two things he said, you must disagree with one or both of those.
Or maybe you dont like that he is implying that Jarred Rome might have doped? Fair enough, he never had a positive test. Although he has had athletes he coached test positive and receive bans, which always is a bad look.
Definitely surprised by this. Last I saw him, he was still in incredible shape. He really put a ton of effort into training his athletes. Rest easy Rome!

Implying? He as much as accused the man before his dead body was cold. That speaks for itself.
This is so sad, he was such a great person, enjoyed having many conversations with him. I feel horrible for his family, friends, and athletes. We all lost a great person.

Any insights into cause of death? Heart attack? Suicide? Drug OD?
possibly a heart attack, although he wasnt feeling well at all for a few days before he died.
Jarred's family has set up a Memorial Fund in his name for the Iron Wood Throw Camp, of which he was the Camp Director, to provide scholarships for less fortunate high school athletes.

Here is information from the Go Fund Me page about the Iron Wood Throw Camp:
The Iron Wood Thrower Development Camp exists to provide each participant with the opportunity to optimize their athletic potential and improve their physical and mental preparedness for scholastic competition and beyond.

An article from earlier this month confirms it was an accidental fentanyl overdose, while he also had a heart ailment that was a "significant condition contributing to" his death, per the medical examiner.
