Hello, am I sophmore and after training a bit over the off-season I pred 1 week 1/2 ago with a 17:58! Looking to break 17:30 by the end of the season. In track I i usually was around 139 I’ve since gone from 5”11 to 6”1 (just reached it :) ) anyways I have been sitting at 143ish for most of season and this last week I noticed I was 145-6ish, I don’t really care about weight much but I read it takes off 2 seconds per mile roughly per pound, which means when I pred at 17:58 my equal performance now a week later would be 18:04... wondering if I should just not care or if I should try and not mindlessly snack whenever I feel like it so I can be lighter for my peak . Let me know, don’t know if it’s me growing or simply me eating too much. Let me know if this is a stupid thought or something I should go for because I certainly have a bit of unnecessary body mass lol.
