Wearing medals to school

Definitely!!!

I always tell students, it's not getting on the podium that matters, it's winning the medals. And how will people know about your medals if you don't have them on? So this is why I made my students always wear the medals. The only time they should not wear medals is while they are racing or training.

That’s practically an invitation for some roided up football player to stuff you inside a locker.

Wear them all at once and make sure you get up to go to the bathroom during every class, that way they will make maximum noise and draw maximum attention to your sport and talent.

This is a GREAT idea, block out the haters and flex as hard as possible! Nobody will call you cocky, and no football player will bury you alive in the garbage can!

honestly, it's probably not cool if you are the only one. it's just not humble. BUT there are certain kids who can pull it off. if you have to ask, you are not that kid.

BUT, when i've coached some awesome track kids, we'd have several kids with medals, many with multiple. We'd do "Medal Monday" after a weekend invite. it's cool when a dozen kids are doing it. And you can kind of pull it off in a dorky kind of care free way.

We won the state track championship last year, and one of our sprinters wore his relay team medals for the next few days and didn't take them off. It was after school had ended so he didn't get too much flack.

I coach a few kids that have been big time ( relatively) runners since they were in first grade.

I bet some would be almost unable to stand if they were to wear every medal they have won.

Allowing the 2 sport kids to include swim medals... Forget it

Yes! Definitely. Nothing describes an insecure LOSER better. Go for it kid!

When you see Johnny football hero in the hallway, tell him he played a great game. Tell him you liked his article in the school paper.

If you are one of the extremely few Distance kids that is not in AP classes or have a 4.5 GPA aided by concurrent college courses wear them into exams. Place notes on the back that will be quickly accessible to help you ace that test.

Did nobody else do this in high school? Back in my day, most guys pinned the medals on the letter jackets and kept them on. Like victory marks on an airplane or the helmet stickers Ohio State puts on their football helmets. And it wasn't just my school. Practically all schools did this. It was back in the 90's. We'd go to states or footlocker and you'd see some guys that had so many they couldn't walk without clinking around.

I mean maayyyyyybe for state (still wouldn't recommend). If you win state, yeah, I'd say that's justafiable.

Runner's World did an article about a guy who wore his race medal around for a month. Wearing the medal for a month "gave [him] new faith in humanity."

As we move into ski season , it is time to winterized your medals ? by giving then a new coat of medal ? polish .

The last time I wore a medal around it was the finisher medal of NYC. I thought I did pretty well even by LR standards. Was already at the airport by the time most ppl were still coming in, and TSA was like

Dafuq you wearing dat for? You win or somethin? No? then get it off!

So only if you truly win - first o/a then you can wear one.
