I had a friend years ago who got tired of the loud music so he flipped the circuit breaker to his kid's room. Then went in and put a mark on the stereo where the volume could not exceed while the parents were in the house. If the kid exceeded the limit, the power goes off.
Sort of childish, but he had had that fight on numerous occasions.
