If Goucher says he can beat all the other American runners in the 5000, why didn't he race them in London tonight? Don't get me wrong, I want to see this guy succeed, but he's running the wrong race this weekend if he wants to do that. Is it because he couldn't get into the super grand prix race?
He never said he'd beat them in a race, just run faster than them by the end of the summer.
He looks to be in pretty good shape...and should have some confidence coming off some decent overseas performances recently. He's definitely in sub-13:20 shape and I would be surprised to see him PR this summer...and based off current performances would make him the fastest American this year. We'll see what happens soon.
Though...I see Broe dipping under 13:10 if he runs another 5K this summer.
