For my aching patellar tendinosis knee I need a well cushioned shoe, however I don’t it to be too heavy. To me a lot of the Hoka seem identical, but what model do you recommend, Mach 2?

Thanks! However, that shoe seems to have too much support and ornaments.
The Challenger atr5.
Clifton's arch doesn't work for me, and didn't try Wide. ATR's midsole is a good medium of soft and firm, 9.3oz in size 9.0, and it seems a wider last than Clifton.
This would be my training option. For a longer race/tempo shoe I'd pick the CarbonX esp over ZF.
Currently I'm in Zoom Fly SP and once you get past sizing issue(size up 1) its very underrated and certainly closer to VF4% and Next% than ZF3 is...
Rincon?
I second the vote for Rincon. Very comfortable, light weight training shoes.
How is the Challenger ATR 5 on asphalt?
Is anyone able to compare the three shoes, Rincon, Challenger and Mach 2? The Rincon seems a little lighter but also more softer than Mach 2, but how is the Challnger ATR 5 compared to these?
The mach is much firmer and stiffer than the Rincon. The Rincon is a lighter, faster Clifton. The Challenger is a trail Clifton, with better traction and a little sturdier upper. The mach is the stiffest and most firm. I think the Rincon is awesome. Almost like a more cushioned Saucony Kinvara. One caveat is that there is a good deal of exposed foam on the sole, so outsole durability might be an issue for higher mileage.

challenger atr 5 - clifton for light trails. still totally normal feeling on pavement, but big improvement in mud and dirt. newest version is wider than old versions, and it's firmer than any clifton. has a high arch. not too bulky. true to size, available in wide.
rincon - very light and breathable, wider fit and good for speedwork as well as easy running. softer heel and firmer in forefoot. I like it better than the mach, as it just feels good on the foot. less durable than most other hokas but it's cheaper too.

+1
The Rincon has saved my legs and greatly improved my mileage.
Any feedback on the Hoka Speedgoat 3 ? Iam running a number of ultra marathons tru the year with Asics at the moment, but will have a meniscus surgery next month and need cushions for the next year or so until recover etc.
Rincon is obviously very popular, but would Clifton 6 be nicer to my knees?
