Probably a couple of guys on the soccer team...
Multiple Nordic skiers; multiple triathletes; multiple sport climbers; multiple Taekwondo athletes.

Taekwondo ??? Name one!!!
Probably a tour de France type climbing specialist cyclist.
Probably a Krav Magna specialist, elite windsurfers, and a few snooker players.

The inclusion of sport climbers in there is just as absurd.

I'm a huge fan of Egan Bernal (2019 TDF Winner). He is a great athlete on the bike.
I don't believe that it translates to being a superior runner. He's only 22, 5'9, 132 lbs. He has the body to be a runner. I just don't believe that he could step on the track and run a 4:30 today.
If he gave up cycling, and trained for running, then Yes he could do it.
1) midfielders in soccer, other positions to. (I would give a number of maybe 5- 15 percent could run a mile in that time which is a lot)
2) Swimmers (they have the fitness, but some people just can run for jack, so it depends how their body is).
3) basketball players (group of many talented and conditioned athletes so there are some that could run a 4:30 ).
Most NBA players
Allen Iverson ran 4:23 1600 in training camp one year.
Steph Curry went 4:12 in the 1500.
Larry Bird was rumored to have a 4:03 mile out of college.

Source for this? This sounds like complete bullshit. The best basketball player distance runner would probably be Steve Nash.
Wheating in high school. Soccer player, ran 4:1x for his first 1500

The above is nonsense. Bird especially. I went out to track on first day from basketball and ran a 4:32 with no prior workouts except basketball.

And that was in flats and just running a time trial. I probably could have run a 4:23 with competition and spikes.
Back when UNLV had the team that plowed through close to 70 wins over two seasons, they ran quite a bit. I was not there to witness it, but was told several on the team ran under 4:40 and a couple close to 4:30. They were elite athletes as many played in the NBA. My source was credible and a local high school Cross Country coach.
I remember hearing Johnny Dawkins (Duke player/ UCF bball coach) was fast over 1600 meters in high school.
bird is probably the better runner of that entire list honestly..

I am highly doubtful of the Larry Bird time. He did run a 5 mile race in 33:40 according to this article. (That is 6:42 pace).
http://archive.boston.com/sports/touching_all_the_bases/2015/03/it_was_like_living_in_a_video_game_an_oral_history_of_larry.htmlI’ve seen footage of Larry running...he wasn’t exactly burning it up. I don’t think many guys could run a 4:30 mile right off their sport. But give some fit soccer/basketball players whose teams emphasize running as part of conditioning some time and they could. As is posted every year UNC guys can run in the 4:50s and occasionally faster.
A mid-30s, 230 lb power lifter with a dislocated hip and a completely detached hamstring.

I'd say, most N.B.A. players 6'4" and smaller and 190lbs. and lighter. Under 190lbs. is more important than under 6'4". I know they listed Charles Barkely at 6'6". He's barely 6'4".
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
