do sweatbands trap in enough heat that they will cause u to run slower or are the effects of this mitigated by not having sweat in your eyes, allowing u to fully see, and run faster?

i have worn sweatbands nearly every time i ran for 4 years, and ould like to be the most efficient runner i can, i'll take a quarter second how ever i can get it
go soccer style and put vaseline on your eyebrows. The sweat will drip to the side of your eyes. give it a test during a hot training run.

lol, ah sounds like a great idea, who needs eyes anyways
I actually read the Vaseline tip to keep water out of babies' eyes at bath time. I'll have to try it myself, since I've been thinking about getting a head band.
There's nothing worse than dealing with sweat in the eyes and splattered on eyeglasses during a long run.

Try gettting the sweat on your contacts for a continuous stinging sensation.
I saw the tip on vaseline as well, but I've never brought myself to try it.
I would say that the headband wicks the sweat to a point where it negates any extra warmth provided by the headband. This makes headbands such as these: https://www.suddora.com/collections/headbands really handy for sports performance. Nobody wants sweat in their eyes so I recommend wearing one.
