I’m a high school runner currently going into the final stages of recruitment. I have already scheduled my officials for Columbia, Harvard, and Georgetown and have out of curiosity looked each program up on Let’s Run. Not much to my surprise, knowing the Let’s Run community, I pretty much only stumbled across controversy after controversy.
Is there anything I should legitimately be worried about going to participate in XC/Track in the Ivy League/ North East? Keep in mind I’m not going to these schools JUST to get into the school; I’m deeply invested in my running and it is probably my favorite thing to do in the whole world. I choose these schools because of the ability for me to compete at the highest level with historically good distance programs (depending on what you think; I’m aware I’m not necessarily going to a distance powerhouse school) while also getting one of the best educations in the world.
I regret even looking up this stuff on Let’s Run. Someone just reassure me in my decisions in picking these schools lol.
