Galen had many bites at the apple and ends up running 3.13 seconds faster for his lifetime pb than an 18:year old Norwegian does. Alberto must really be re-evaluating his entire coaching career to know that a random Norwegian dude is a better coach than Alberto.
it's due to the prancing form Alberto forced Rupp to run with, he couldn't generate as much power/speed with each stride as Jakob can.

Rupp never ran 5000 at the right time and place. His 26:44 equates to 12:49. A 12:59 guy cannot run 26:44 and especially with a sub-2:00 finish. It's not possible.

We're talking about Rupp so I'm not going to get into how soft Tergat's 5000 PR is, but elite strength runners slow down by about 11 seconds per mile from 5 to 10K. If Rupp's 5K PR is legit it would be a little less than 8 seconds per mile which is impossible. It would be like a 4:10 HS miler running 8:40.
If you believe that Rupp is some super human strength runner, you're ignoring his 3:50 mile PR.

Really? Please let us know where Rupp had the opportunity to run a fast 5000. How many Rietis, Monacos, Lausannes, Brussels, etc did he get to run?

First off, Rupp was primarily a racer, he only had 3 pro races where from gun to finish the the focus was clearly on time and in each of those cases he ran very fast. His indoor, mile, 2-mile, his indoor 5K and out door 10K. In all of his outdoor 5ks, there was only one, perhaps 2 legit opportunities where he should have run a much faster 5k and that's the one where he ran a12:58 and 13:02, which are fast times. You don't get credit for what you didn't do, but Rupp's 3:50i mile and a 12:49 10k almost certainly he could have run much better than a 12:58 5k.
Jakob Ingebrigsten 13:02 5K to Rupp's 12:58 5K is a comparision between athletes, there is no comparision between coaches. Coaching athltetes to WMMs victories won mutiples World and Olympics medals, Alberto is without a doubt among the worlds greatest coaches. Btw, none of this is meant to take away from Jakob Ingebrigsten becasue is probably going to win some global championship medals, but to compare Alberto to Gjert is stupid.
Why don't we wait until Jakob's career is over? Right now Rupp is head and shoulders above the professional Norweigian pro.. and don't forget, Rupp spent his youth playing soccer, not training full time like Jakob.

Tadese's "PRs" would be him slowing down by 6.5 seconds by mile. How could he be so much stronger than guys like Bekele, Gebreilasse and Salazar? If he could run a 10K at that close to his 5K pace he could have easily run sub-2 in the marathon.
The proportions between 5 and 10K PR's are close to the same for everybody that has maxed out at those distances.

Head and shoulders? In what exactly? Rupp has a PR of 3:34.15 and was not a world medal threat in that distance. Jakob has already run 3:30, 3:30, and 3:31 and is most definitely a huge threat. Crazy! He's got speed! Something Rupp never had.
Jakob has now shown he is also super quick in the 5000 and almost tied Rupp's PR while challenging Ethiopias best. Galen has never been this close to a top Ethiopian in the 5000. Galen is however head and shoulder's above Jakob in the 10, half, and full marathons though.

Mark Nenow PB for 5000 : 13:18(4:17 per mile) and his PB for 10000: 27:20(4:24 per mile).

Don't be so disingenuous. Rupp ran that solo in Rome. I have the video. He has never run something like Ras al Khima (spelling), Lisbon, Great North, etc. If he and Salazar thought that a sub 59 meant anything, they'd do it, no doubt.
Jakob is off to a great start of his career, but so far he has no senior medals, and so far, nothing of note above 5k. But right now we know Rupp has two Olympic medals, plus 26:44 for 10k which is the superior mark for both of them, plus a couple of 2:06. I think Rupp is going 2:04 eventually and likely will get a third Olympic medal.
Rupp was Training a pro type level with Salazar 12 years before he peaked and plateaued in the 10k (age was late 20s)
Jakob has been training for 10 years at a pro level since the age of 8. So I surmise Jakob will peak and plateau in his early 20s. So he likely only has a few years to run faster before he plateaus.
So my point is that 18 year old Jakob should be compared to about a 24 year old Rupp. I see Thor development as very comparable for when they began to train in a pro system.
Also it should be mentioned that Rupp had a 10k focus.
Rupp is head and shoulders because he is a multiple Olympic medalist in two events with a Mile PB over 2 seconds faster than Jakob.
Rupp is proven in the Olympics. Jakob is not. Give Jakob time.
And Rupp beat Kenenisa Bekele, head to head in the 2012 Olympics. Do you forget?
