I normally try very hard to keep my personal and professional lives separate, but my boss found me on social media and added me after working here for about two years. It has become increasingly clear over the years that he has NPD, and his symptoms have gotten worse. I won't go into them because he's textbook. He lives a very boring life and does nothing but work, do his home exercise routine, watch TV and drink beer. He's got a wife and kid, but they never do anything interesting. I'm a single guy, and he's clearly very jealous and envious of me. I have a lot of different friends, travel, go backpacking, etc, and any time I post photos on social media of me pretty much just living my life, he gets mad at me, and no, I'm not posting photos or on social media at work. He rarely explicitly brings up the photos, but if I post something on Tuesday night, he'll be a dick to me on Wednesday. It's become a very clear pattern.
How exactly should I handle this? I thought about blocking him and saying I decided to give up social media, but I have several other people at work as friends on fb, and I'm sure they would end up spilling the beans at some point, and he'd realize I simply blocked him, which might make things worse. Guy is a fvckin psycho. What to do?
