False. Chariots of Fire bored me to death.
Would help if you told us what the argument is about.

Who died in Pretty Woman?
Because, I was going to answer give your same answer, but say that about Pretty Woman.
Just a quick glance of the list Pretty Woman seems to stand out as not belonging.

Let me clarify. I understand the argument is about which one does not belong. But more details are needed. This could be a list of best movies, worst movies, movies with terrible CGI, movies with the best CGI, etc. Just a "Which one does not belong is too vague.
chariots of fire
Was a British production. I think all the rest were American produced. I'm too lazy to double check on them though.

There is a movie on that list that my wife and a girl friend of her's say is one of greatest movie ever made. I named some examples of great movies as a comparison and they said their movie was as good if not better than the movies I named. My wife has watched this movie at least 25 times, which means I have also watched at least half that amount. Basically, I am using the LRC to prove to my wife and her friend that their movie is good, but not great.

So this means that either you or your girlfriend think that Titanic is a great movie?
Stars out of 4:
Shaw Shank Redemption 4
Fatal Attraction 2- morphed into a horror flick
Chariots of Fire 2 - boring
Titanic 2.5 - big budget could have made it great, but instead it was a moranic love story.
Forrest Gump 2.5 - didn't understand the hype and kind of boring.
Gladiator 2.5
Silence of the Lamb 4
Pulp Fiction 3.5
A Few Good Men 2- Jack Nicholson folded like an accordian for no apparent reason.
Good Fellas 3.5 - some classic scenes
Saving Private Ryan 3.5 - opening scene was incredible, but kind of cheesy after that.
Full Metal Jacket - 3
Jaws -3.5
Pretty Women. 1- Awful. A rich guy picking up a prostitute from the streets to be a companion is ridiculous. She would have to have had some serious issues to be doing that for a living.
They all have at least an underlying plot of redemption. I have not watched Titanic (too much hype for me). My guess is one or more approach redemption a little differently than the others.

Titanic
Forrest Gump
Gladiator
Above are truly awful movies. The rest are pretty good.
Pretty Women
...is what I was hoping for

Agreed. Pretty Women is probably the best movie ever. Amazing fantasy, picking up a bunch of hot streetwalkers and then going raw dog with them all weekend long.
