Can you please paraphrase his reason? I can't watch anything on twitter
It was time for a change. Everyone on good terms and respect each other. Still talking to each other.
Centro essentially said nothing. Centro is not telling the whole story. He said nothing but that it was time to shake things up.

I know that saying that the relationship ran its course sounds like a BS excuse, but I genuinely believe he's telling the truth here. I don't think there was some big smoking gun.
Think about it. NOP is very different now from the group he joined at the start of 2012. It used to be Galen, Mo, and Centro, but now Galen is 100% in on the marathon (and has been hurt for most of the last year) and Mo is gone.
I think Centro and Alberto both got what they wanted out of their relationship. But at this point, Centro has Alberto's system down pat and believes he has learned pretty much all he can from him. Sticking around for more of the same didn't interest him, so he decided to move on.
Well I imagine Centro got tired of all the doping allegations. Mo probaby did too. Where there is smoke, there is fire, and there was a lot of smoke.
Bigger tell is that when they asked why he chose the BTC, his response was like where else could I have gone. Perhaps Nike didn't want him to be on the east coast with his dad and he was like okay lets try the BTC. Also was very interesting that it sounds like when he is hurt he has very little interaction with Jerry. I guess I get it, what is there to talk about, but you would think the Olympic Champion you just signed to your group would be a little more of a priority.
What is Jon Gault hiding?

Gault nailed it.
Centrowitz has learned what he can from Salazar. This change allows him to learn from a new coach and perhaps keep the motivation to continue competing and training for a few years longer than he might have gone under Salazar. Not a knock against Salazar. Variety is the spice of life.
After his competitive running career is finished Centrowitz should consider coaching.
Centro should have gone to WCAP

I doubt it. I'm 99.9% sure Centrowitz is clean.
Centrowitz hasn't run super fast, he's just damn good at running heats and finals at the World and Olympic championships. He never seems to run stupid and always places himself in the perfect spot.
Still doesn't really make sense to me.
So BTC is a better fit than NOP because he has more potential training partners there? If so why didn't he just say that?
He won Olympic gold and then decided it was time for another direction? If he had Alberto's system down and it works for him then why not stick with it and Alberto?
If something is working for you, why change it up?
I spoke with Matthew yesterday, and this is the truth. It was time to change things up. Simple as that.
While it is funnier to say he went to Bowerman for the babes, the simplest truth is he needed to keep things fresh to keep himself optimally interested and most engaged.

No, there wasn't a lot of smoke.
This board is not the world. Just because nimrods flood this board with bad-faith accusations, doesn't mean there's lot's of smoke.
In fact, the things that came out via Kara and Mr. Kara, were, if you know the full story, weak.
It's common knowledge that crowds like to have an obvious Frankenstein monster, which is what's been going on here for years and years. Lame. And, boring AF.

If you've ever been in a system for half a decade, the workouts, the standard workouts can get boring. You psychologically start to be able to predict them, and get too comfortable.
Mixing it up and perhaps working on "different parts of your game" keeps it fresher, and ultimately more enjoyable, even, more fun.

3:30 isn't "super fast"?

I agree with this completely.

I am not knocking him but it also takes a little luck to win in the Olympics. The pace was right for him and
he happened to get lane one right from the start. One of those two was luck. The other one is he is just
a fantastic runner who had a dad pass on his genes and know-how.

I meant to say that "another thing is he had a dad to pass on his genes and know-how."
