I’m 15yr old boy and have been running around 3yrs , over the last 16 weeks I’ve being doing around 40-45miles per week having a down week when I have a niggle. I eat well and sleep about 9hrs night.
I’ve run 5k in 16.21 and am looking for help to break 16min by Xmas .
Last 4 weeks training
Sunday 5mile - 5.40 mile pace then 10x250m in 4.30 mile pace
Monday easy
Tuesday long reps 1mile 1200m 1000m stuff normally at critical velocity or cruise interval pace - I go on running calculators
Wednesday easy
Thursday speed stuff 150, 200, 300. Short intervals long recovery
Friday easy then hills normally 10x a hill
Saturday off
I was doing a 10m run on a Sunday until 4 weeks ago not sure if I should of changed but I thought I needed to get a 30min hard run in.????
I’m not sure if I’m running to much or to little or if the sessions are right I tend to get information of this site
Any help to get me to sub 16mins by Xmas would be great -thank you.
