I have a tendency to always blow out my shoes on the left side of the left toe box and right side of the right toe box no matter what it is (wide or normal). I went into a Road Runner and they took a video and found that I have a tendency to land almost at an angle which causes my feet to blow out of my toe box.
They immediately told me it was a form problem and I was “running incorrectly” and that I would never stop blowing out of shoes if I didn’t fix it, I would be injured if I didn’t fix it, and that I would never be really good at running if I didn’t fix it (I have a 5K PR of 16:38 and a 2 mile PR of 9:57).
How do I fix this while I’m also training for XC. She recommended me take a week to practice running correctly... but it just feels natural for me and I don’t feel like it’s gonna end up putting me down as injured since I’ve been running for almost 4 years now with no major injuries to report.
My coach told me running is a natural thing and that everyone runs differently so I don’t know who I should listen to.
Please help. (She recommended me the ASICs Gel-Kayaono 26’s which are a tough and heavyish shoe and I’m not a fan of /: but she said I needed the stability to correct me form)
