2 very strong Diamond League Performances this season over 800 and now 1500.
European Indoor Champion over 1500.
He has serious wheels and now the tactical nous to win races. Should we start to take him seriously as a medal contender come Worlds?

Title misleading, thought Robert Lewandowski transferred to Qatar
Lewandowski will be quite dangerous in any slowish race. But remember how he miscalculated and hung back for too long at the Euros last year.

I'm just curious...Is 3:52 considered slow these days? I was really impressed with this race and had no idea who this guy was until yesterday. I am very impressed. A 800m specialist cranking out a 3:52 this early.
Yes because he'll hang back and pick off guys slowing in the final 100.
Unless the pace goes out at a blazing 3:30/3:31, you could almost hand Lewandowski a medal. Likely gold. He will destroy if slow to medium pace.
in his post race interview he said: "To win the Dream Mile is something big for me. And believe me, I’m still in good training for Doha, I did not expect to win, the peak should come later. I’m very happy, what can you say, I will celebrate not only my birthday, but also this great win. It was actually my first mile ever. I know my speed from 800m is helping me, they should not wait until last 100 m because then I can beat them."
pay particular attention to the line: "It was actually my first mile ever."
and then read the result of the men's mile at the AIT Grand Prix, Athlone, Ireland, 13 Feb 2019
1. Marcin Lewandowski (POL) 3:56.41
2. Stewart McSweyn (AUS) 3:56.46
3. Ryan Gregson (AUS) 3:56.85
4. John Travers (IRL) 3:58.48
5. Sol Sweeney (SCO) 3:59.86
6. Corey Bellemore (CAN) 4:00.56
7. Brian Fay (IRL) 4:03.31
8. Kieran Kelly (IRL) 4:03.66
...oops!
