I’m running a marathon in two weeks and have been training the last 3 months in the heat of the south. I’ve never trained through a late spring/early summer like this, and it has honestly been brutal. Is it true that 20-30 degrees and 10-20% humidity makes a difference of 10-15-20+ seconds on runs across the board? Because on paper this training cycle sucks compared to the one I did last fall, but I’m trying to knock about ~4 mins off my time. FWIW, weekly mileage average almost exactly the same.
