I'm racing this weekend in the Midwest in what will likely be disgusting weather. At the start of this 15k it will likely be 80 plus degrees with 70 percent humidity. Am I better of wearing no shirt at all in this race or would I benefit from wearing a white singlet? Either way it will suck ass, but I still want to know what my choice should be...
I always wear a singlet for racing, even in hot and humid weather, if nothing else then to keep the bugs from sticking to my chest and being all disgusting. Just go with whatever you are comfortable.
I wear a singlet to wipe the sweat out of my eyes. If it's real hot, I go wristband and no singlet.
Back in the old days (1970's) we used to wear no shirts and pin our numbers on the front of our shorts (very carefully). The women volunteers hated it when they had to rip off the bottom of our numbers.
But, I would wear a shirt now (and I still look good).

Seriously, grow some balls. 80 is not hot. I did a five hour bike ride this weekend and I didn't know it was 91 until afterwards when I heard it on the radio. Yes, it was hot, but I didn't ask people how I should deal with it.

Riding a bike is a"luck of a fot" easier than running in 91 degree heat. You cool off riding the bike at 20 MPH or whatever, more on the downhills.
