It depends on how tired you felt at the end of the season, both physically and mentally. I would take at least a week off, two if really tired and unmotivated. Your body and mind need the break. Personally, I like taking 5-7 days completely off and then swimming a few days and jogging every other day. At two weeks, you should be back to your normal schedule, just not quite as many miles. If you maxed at 43 miles, the first week back, do 30, then 35, etc..
