If this bet goes down, would it affect his NCAA eligibility?
Awesome
Is "pole to pole" the length of the field?

The writer thinks ‘pole to pole’ is a track term. I’m assuming Ginn meant telephone/light poles. Found an article that says typically spaced 38m apart in urban areas and 91m in rural areas.

Nike pays more than NCAA. He's not going to waste his best years in college.

Goalpole to goalpole. 130 yards?

Oof. Ginn is going to regret that. He would have a better chance in the 40.
Will this race happen, and if so, who wins?

He needs more humility. He's beaten high school competition and now it's time to prove himself if he can make it to elite. Beating a no name in track won't help him at all and only make his competitors think he's lame and desperate.

Ted Ginn Jr is far more widely-known than any current elite sprinter.
Nothing suspicious here at all, if you disagree you are paranoid and probably racist against Bolt.

Its obvious that Bolt who was track's biggest $draw$ for 2 Olympics cycles was clean and everyone else couldn't come within .2 seconds of Bolts 100 meter time without doping! Bolt = Legend!
the high school sprinter will win this, convincingly
Who?
Agree there are a lot of question marks in that list but 2 to pick out...
Bolt didn’t actually improve all that much from what he ran as a kid. I hope that I manage to get more than a 7% improvement out of the 15 year olds I coach by the time they finish studying, let alone if they were to turn pro and dedicate their lives to it. Unless you think he had been on the sauce at 15... I don’t.
Powell - the one name I tend to cut some slack. He successfully sued the supplement company. That’s a hell of a lot more than just claiming ignorance about what is in a supplement - demonstrating to a court’s satisfaction that the supplement co was negligent... that goes a lot further with me than claiming some disgruntled masseuse wanted to sabotage your career
Ginn pushing 30 years old? I watched him in HS....he was fast. But this kid is whooping him bad in anything over 60 meters
I think this is really stupid on Boling's part. Why does need even ore attention and expectations before he ever runs a step in the NCAAs? If Boling wins, the "legend" grows and expectations keep going up. If Boling loses, or god forbid gets injured, everyone will quickly say how stupid this was.
Advice to Boling: keep your head down, don't let the hype inflate your head, and focus on performance and progress rather than stunts with NFL players. I like Boling, but this disappoints me.

I think you're making this out to be way more serious than it is. It sounds like a fun competition between two people who like to compete.
The kid's career isn't going to hinge on this performance, and it is only a pressure-filled race if he chooses to view it as such.
