Unfortunately my 4:05 miler son, Greg Morgan, who ran 4:05 for the FULL mile will not be a goat next year.
Jared Pangallozzi looks like the favorite to win nationals. He beat Greg Morgan, a 4:05 miler by 6 seconds last year.

The top four returners are Schrader, Cox, Matteucci, and Osmulski, in that order. Schrader was looking like a god indoors before getting hurt, qualifying in all four distance events, and appears to be back close to 100% after running 3:50. Cox has been out since early January. Matteucci has also looked strong all year, but Schrader has always had him beat on grass. I think he's the very obvious favorite. Pangalozzi is kind of a dark horse pick.
I think Lucas Mueller from Carleton is gonna win it all. He ran a sick double at the MIAC conference meet. Ran a 14:22 the day after running 30:40 in the 10k.
I heard darin lou still has another year of eligibility.
Patrick Watson from Stevenson was not far behind all of those guys and has run 14:33 and 9:09 steeple...another possible dark horse pick.

Sorry, but Aidan Ryan is still not a distance runner. I’ll give it to you that he was indeed the top sprinter in the 5k, but that does not make him a distance runner.
Greg Morgan, despite still on the track, is the best returning distance runner. See you in November

This is trash. Wartburg could be number one, certainly not outside the top 10. Haverford is losing practically everyone so having them up there makes little sense. This seems to be a victim of historical precedent mixed with some recency bias with Carleton.

Top three are going to Williams, Carleton, and Pomona. NCC does not podium. truth.
Pomona has the talent to be top 3, but if they want to be on the podium they are going to have to peak at nationals. Not the month before (See example: 2019 outdoor track)

Why Pomona? Who do they have coming back? They barely squeaked top 10 this year with Reichsling scoring 3 points. How are they a podium team without him?
