Not that anyone really cares but...
I bought my first pair of tights (half-tights actually) over the weekend on the recommendation of a friend. I was initially sceptical about wearing them, but my friend insisted they were warm, and very comfortable to run in. He was right.
I've been running a long time, but always resisted wearing tights. I shouldn't have.
The half-tights made my stride feel smoother. I assume this is due to the reduced vibrations from muscle contractions. Essentially, the tights were keeping my quads from giggling on toe off. I don't know if reducing the muscle vibrations in my quads really helps, but running hills, and moving quickly felt smoother wearing the half-tights than regualar shorts. Maybe I've just felt good over the past two days, but I really have felt smoother and more powerful, this is very noticeable on hills.
I also noticed less lactic acid while running up some steep hills. Usually by the time I get to the top of the hill I'm speaking off, there are traces of lactic acid in my legs, not so with the half tights. Again, I guess that has something to do with how strong and smooth I've felt.
Anyway, this message has no real point, except to tell those people who are not wearing tights to give them a try. I think you'll be surprised.
Oh, one possible negative, I did seem to get yelled at more frequently wearing the tights, but I don't care. It's funny to me when some fat-ass makes fun of how fit I am.
