hello everyone, im in the 8th grade and the track season for my school is winding down and theres only a couple meets left. After reading a bit ive heard alot about people burning out in high school and not really improving much. My PRs are 5:11 for the mile 2:14 in the 800 and 55.25 for the 400 though ill likely be able to take some time off of these in the last couple meets. Ive heard and even been told by friends that theres a good chance ill burnout in high school. Im the best on the team so i hope its just them saying that to bring down my ego as burning out is something i really don't want, as want to at least run in college as a walk on and hopefully get a partial scholarship though it likely wont even be a half ride. Are there any ways in training to avoid burning out or not improving in high school? Im only 5,5 so i wouldn't say im the most developed kid on the team so i like to think thats not giving me much of an advantage but i have heard that kids that develop and are tall in middle school aren't always that dominant in high school. Thanks for any advice
