Can someone offer guidance on what sort of training a 14 year should be doing ? Her event ( age restricted) is 1500/3000 m
Is it too simplistic to take adult level training for these events and then markedly cut down/reduce the daily training distances, frequency of and expected times for reps etc ? My logic here is to suit that childs current abilities.
We are far from a track & coach and other runners and on this basis perhaps I could help out with my child's training.
