I did not see that the OP wanted to ban the athlete but to let the RD know that using a person who has served a suspension is probably not the best idea in terms of promoting an event.

How about if there were a top runner who was a child molestor, would you want that person promoted as being as your race? (Granted, that might be extreme and being a child molestor is far worse than being a cheat).

He never said Amere shouldn't be allowed to compete. Only that the money generated by other runner's fees shouldn't be used to promote a drug cheat.

His stunt at Peachtree also raises some questions. Running under an alias raises many questions, including tax evasion, etc. Were I Kingsport, I'd confirm that he'd returned his payment to Peachtree BEFORE paying him dollar one and make clear that his failure to return that money on a timely basis would be regarded as theft, and he'd not be invited back.

this is the same race that brought in that drugged to the gills little chick from Morocco (sp?) a few years ago. I can't remember her name, but it was obvious from just eyeballing her that there was no way in hell she was running 24:20's clean. She got busted like 3 months later.

Yes Eddy can coach but wants to wait untill suspension is over, out of respect for the school.

Race director Hank Brown told me that Emere is paying his own way if he comes to the race. Not sure if that affects your decision to run or not.

I'm not sure Hank can legally barr Emere from running if he has 'served his time'.

I don't think boycotting the event is the answer.

You gotta love Asmae's photo on this year's Crazy 8's brochure--because we all know she was clean for that race, but dirty for subsequent races that year.

I think all the residents of Kingsport who think Asmae was clean for the race inhaled way too many chemicals from the nearby Eastman plant.
