Someone running 2:3x in the marathon. It would be excellent training to run 200+ kilometres a week, one long run @ 90 % of marathon pace and two other workouts at 10k-half marathon pace.

The problem as I see it is that a 2:3X marathoner is mostly not a fulltime runner and wont get the proper recovery between the sessions.
